In the Potter's Hands

{Daily Selah}

Have you ever watched a potter at work?

First, he beats down the clay to rid it of any air bubbles that could produce flaws later.

Then the clay is slapped down on the potters wheel.

Using water and the pressure of his hands, the potter changes the shape and character of that lump of clay, transforming it into something unique and beautiful.

God does much the same with us as He continues His work in our lives to transform us into the image of Christ.

But now, O Lord, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand. (Isaiah 64:8)

God is not only our Creator. He is also very creative. He can take ordinary lumps of clay like you and me and transform us into something beautiful.

Thank you Father, for continuing to mold us and shape us into the image of Your own Son. Help us to allow You free rein to do Your work and Your will in every aspect of who we are. In Jesus' Name, amen.
