Walk in the light

{Daily Selah}

My night vision is very poor and I prefer not to drive at night if I can avoid it.

Some people are afraid of the dark.

Jesus said some love darkness rather than light because their deeds are evil (John 3:19).

Did you know God wants us to avoid darkness?

Take a look at 1 John 1:6-7:

If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

God doesn't want us to stumble around in the dark, not knowing which way to go. He has laid out a clear path for us to follow.

Walking in the light simply means living in the light of God's Word, living according to His ways and His direction.

The Word of God is our light, our guide and our compass. God gave us His Word to light the way for us.

Don't stumble in darkness.

Walk in the light.

{Daily Selah} is a mini-devotional, a pause to ponder about the Lord and how He wants us to live.
