I decided on a brighter font color for this morning's Daily Selah and in a moment, you'll see why.
Yesterday was a dreary day with snow early, gloomy grey skies and a light rain throughout most of the day. This morning the sun is shining, melting the frost and brightening my corner of the world.
There's a saying around here about the weather.
"If you don't like the weather, wait 5 minutes, it'll change. It's Wisconsin."
Weather doesn't often change that rapidly, but sometimes our lives can.
I'm so very thankful that God's steadfast love for us will never change and neither will He.
In Psalm 143:8, David is asking the Lord to remind him of that eternal and blessed truth.
Let me hear in the morning of your steadfast love, for in you I trust (Psalm 143:8 ESV).
It is a truth we often need to be reminded of also. If the skies of circumstance are gloomy and grey in your life today, you don't have to be.
Just cry out to Him right now and say, "Remind me, Lord."
Father, thank You for your steadfast, everlasting love for us that will never change. Thank you that we can depend on You, rely on You and trust in You always. Remind us, Lord of Your steadfast love and help us to trust you more, no matter what the "weather" in our lives may appear to be. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
{Daily Selah} is a mini-devotional, a pause to ponder about the Lord and how He wants us to live.
