Jesus, Be the Center

{Daily Selah}

If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. (Colossians 3:1 ESV)

Yesterday morning in church we were singing, "Jesus, Be the Center," and while we were singing, I had a sudden realization.

We often talk about putting Jesus first, but putting Him in the center is much different.

Asking Jesus to be the center means allowing Him to be in the middle of everything we think, say and do.

It means not just yielding every area of our lives to Him, but also ALL of every area of our lives to Him.

If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. (Colossians 3:1)

Very few of us, if we're honest, can say Jesus is consistently the center of it all, all day every day, every moment of every hour. Let's make that our prayer and invite Him to be the center of all we are and all we do today and every day.

Jesus, be the center

Be my source
Be my light
Jesus
Jesus, be the center
Be my hope
Be my song
Jesus

Daily Selah is a mini-devotional, a pause to ponder about the Lord and how He wants us to live.
